Good cooperation includes:
opportunities to influence
flow of information
The purpose of cooperation within undertakings is to promote interaction between the company and its personnel, based on sufficient information on the company’s standing and plans given in a timely manner to the personnel. The aim is to develop employees’ opportunities to influence the decisions made in the company on their work, working conditions and position in the company.
The Act on Cooperation within Undertakings is applied to companies with a minimum of 20 employees. The Act requires the company to review the personnel plan and the personnel training objectives with the statutory cooperation procedure.
Companies may face situations where employees must be given notice or laid off. In such a situation, it must be ensured that the measures are lawful and in the spirit of cooperation. Read more under Changes in employment.
